Linked in to Twitter

If you hadn't noticed, LinkedIn has started allowing you to link your Twitter account to your LinkedIn account. So, I didn't know this (since I opted out), but apparently LinkedIn will kick your status updates to Twitter... like when you get a new job...


Privacy settings out the window! Woohoo for Web 2.0!

I'm not sure why someone would want to link their linkedin profile with their twitter account. While I consider my twitter contacts professional as most of them (90%) are infosec related, I don't feel the "fooling around" posts and general asshattery doesn't belong on my linkedin profile :-) Linkedin is me wearing the obligatory tie, Twitter is me wearing jeans and a geek t-shirt.

People should regularly review and sanitize the applications they allowed into their twitter profile since you don't have control over WHAT those apps can do on your behalf.
