To those who don’t know, or weren’t on the initial ping or don’t know
what ShmooCon is:
ShmooCon is an annual East coast hacker convention hell-bent on
offering three days of an interesting atmosphere for demonstrating
technology exploitation, inventive software & hardware solutions,
and open discussions of critical infosec issues.
And this year, there is going to be a meet up of all the Pod / Vid
casters that are going to ShmooCon. At the moment, I have confirmation
from Larry and Paul from Pauldotcom.com Security Weekly, Darren and Wess
from Hak.5, Bret and Ovie from CyberSpeak, Harrison, Kim and maybe
Wallcy from SploitCast.
So, if you are in the area, even if you are not going to ShmooCon, come on by!
• If you are part of the community that this meet up is for, please share this information with your listeners and the fact that it is open to the public.
• We are going to do a live recording of the event, so, bring whatever equipment you think would help the cause.
• Simple Nomad will be there as the guest of honor. Fyodor will not be attending due to work issues.
• I will be having free beer and food for those of you in the community (pod/vid casters). There will also be a beer tab that will most likely go very quickly for the listeners.
• I am looking for an artist to make fliers that can be given out on the first day of the conference to tell about the meet up and have everyone’s logos on it. Please have any submissions emailed to me at jd.mubix@gmail.com The winning submission will get a T-Shirt from all of the shows and a signed version of the flier.
